Kevin Smith's cult classic has been a definite inspiration to me since the first time I sat through it (only maybe three years ago). The impact this movie has had on my life is twofold; For one, I realised that there were people other than myself who were entertained by just simply sitting and watching characters chat their lives away. The 'life-as-cul-de-sac' angle also spoke directly to me.
Secondly; well, this can be expressed as a statement that I may have said to myself at the time, and has definitely echoed in my head ever since: "Shit man, you've gotta be able to write better dialogue than this". I mean, seriously. If you haven't had the 'pleasure' in a while, watch it again.
And thus, a goal was formed. So, yeah, Cheers, Kev.
